Air freight covers long distances in the shortest possible time. It is a reliable solution for spare parts holding up a production line, goods that must arrive in time for the start of a season, and high-value or sensitive cargo. Working with airlines and authorised agents, Wislog Lojistik organises air shipments to Europe, the Middle East, the Gulf and the Far East.
For exports from Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport, we collect your cargo from your factory, deliver it to the airport bonded warehouse and coordinate the export procedures. For imports, we organise door delivery after customs clearance at the destination airport. Our operations team monitors the air waybill (AWB) and flight details throughout the process.
For cargo covered by the IATA DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations) — such as aerosols, chemicals and products containing lithium batteries — we check packaging, labelling and declaration requirements in advance and select the appropriate flight and airline. Where needed, we also offer combined solutions linking air freight with sea or road transport.

Frequently asked questions
How are air freight charges calculated?
Air freight is calculated by comparing actual gross weight with volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is usually calculated as (length × width × height, cm) / 6000, and the greater value is used as the chargeable weight.
Can aerosol products be shipped by air?
Aerosols can be carried under the IATA DGR subject to specific quantity, packaging and labelling conditions. Eligibility is determined by reviewing the product’s SDS and packaging information against the airline’s acceptance rules.
Should I choose air freight or sea freight?
Air freight suits time-critical, low-volume and high-value cargo, while sea freight is better for high-volume, cost-driven shipments. We can assess both modes for you with a comparative quote.
