The Americas are a growing market for Turkish exporters of marble and natural stone, machinery, chemicals, furniture, automotive components and construction materials. From Ambarlı, Gebze, İzmir and Mersin, Wislog Logistics arranges regular container sailings to the US East Coast (New York/New Jersey, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, Baltimore, Miami) and West Coast (Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland), to Montreal and Halifax in Canada, and to Veracruz and Altamira in Mexico.
On South American services we use Santos and Paranaguá in Brazil, Buenos Aires in Argentina and San Antonio and Valparaíso in Chile. Cargo that does not fill a container is consolidated in our warehouse and converted into a groupage (LCL) shipment. To protect cargo on a long ocean route we plan in-container lashing, moisture control and packaging strength according to the product.
On shipments to the Americas the paperwork matters as much as the carriage itself. Country-specific requirements such as the ISF and AMS filings in the USA, the ISPM 15 wood packaging rule in Canada, NCM classification in Brazil and Mexico’s detailed technical documentation are settled with the consignee before loading.
