Cosmetics and cleaning products must be handled with care until they reach the shelves. Because aerosol deodorants, spray perfumes and hairsprays are pressurised receptacles, they are generally classified as Class 2 dangerous goods under UN 1950. Alcohol-based perfumes and lotions can be flammable liquids, while some industrial detergents and cleaning products may be corrosive.
For these product groups, Wislog Lojistik first reviews the product’s SDS and packaging, and determines whether the limited quantity (LQ) exemption can be used. We then plan vehicles or containers, labelling and documentation in line with ADR rules by road and IMDG rules by sea. This helps prevent unexpected delays at border crossings and ports.
To prevent crushed cartons, leaks and breakages, we apply pallet pattern, stretch wrapping, corner protector and stacking height checks during loading. We carry out regular shipments for manufacturers in Türkiye exporting to European, Middle Eastern, North African and West African markets, using full truckload and groupage trucking as well as FCL and LCL containers.

Frequently asked questions
Does deodorant transport require a special vehicle?
Aerosol deodorants are generally classed as Class 2 dangerous goods. If limited quantity (LQ) conditions are met, some obligations are eased; otherwise, an ADR-equipped vehicle and a certified driver are required. The correct assessment is made using the SDS and packaging information.
Are detergents dangerous goods?
Many detergents are not dangerous goods; however, some industrial detergents and products such as bleach may be classified as corrosive (Class 8). That is why the SDS should be checked for every product.
Can I ship cosmetics as a part load?
Yes. You can ship cosmetics and detergents per pallet by groupage truck or in an LCL container. For products containing dangerous goods, planning includes compatibility checks against other cargo.
